SALSA MAY not be a food item given away at food banks but it came in handy in helping provide for the Terrace Churches Food Bank recently.
Staff at Don Diego's make and sell their own salsa and decided to save all the money made this year for the food bank, says restaurant co-owner Gerran Thorhaug.
The result was a cheque for $500 presented to food ban k president John Wiebenga.
And the restaurant also gave $250 in items to the food bank.
