TERRACE MAYOR Dave Pernarowski was the recipient recently of a gift from Kitselas.
The gift took the form of a print and was presented in recognition of attending the welcoming banquet for National Addiction Awareness Week events held at Kitselas in November.
The presentation was made by Lynn Wright who coordinates the Kitselas Youth Group.
The Kitselas Youth Group received a grant to hold events in November.
The group's proposal was one of 30 accepted across the country and one of seven in BC to receive a $2,500 grant for National Aboriginal Addictions Awareness Week.
Kitselas was one of the seven grants that awarded for the BC Region.
A variety of sessions and workshops were held in November keying on awareness and what can be done to prevent addictions problems.
