MARCH TO Brolly Square participants start up the conga line at the square during the event

A FLASH mob style dance broke out at the March to Brolly Square event to end violence against women and raise awareness on Valentine's Day downtown.

And as the dance carried on, it moved into a conga line around the square.

The groups hosting the event had information available to take at the lunch hour event, designed during that time so people could participate.

"I was pleased with the event and given the short time frame to plan and pull it all together (and the not so warm weather) the turnout was fairly good. It was great to see women and our community come together to bring awareness to the issue of violence against women," said Diana Falardeau of Northwest Training Ltd, one of the groups who put on the event.

She thanked everyone who supported the event, the organizers, people who made donations and participants.
