IT'S BEGINNING to look a lot like Christmas and it isn't just because of all the snow around town.

The tree at the corner of Kalum St. and Park Ave. by the library has been strung with lights and a star placed on top for the season.

Gordon Heenan of Heenan Tree Service stood in a cherry picker hoisted high above his truck working on the lights earlier today.

It's a tradition to light up the tree at the Skeena Christmas Festival, which this year will be taking place Dec. 10 at Spirit Square at George Little Park.
