Donations of non-perishable food items, cash and gift cards helped make this year’s Cram the Cruiser event Dec. 9 a success, reports Constable Kelly Cates of the Terrace RCMP detachment.

“The community of Terrace showed itself to be overwhelmingly generous once again as they crammed four emergency vehicles with non-perishable items and donated a total of $2,985 in cash and gift cards,” she said.

All the proceeds were bound for the Salvation Army, the Terrace Churches Food Bank and Ksan Place.

It’s the 13th year Cram the Cruiser has been held in Terrace with RCMP officers, RCMP support staff, family members and provincial sheriffs on hand at Save On Foods, Safeway and the Real Canadian Wholesale Club.

Cates expressed the appreciation of the RCMP detachment and volunteers to those who made contributions and provided assistance.
