CHILDREN CAME out to the annual Bike Rodeo to learn skills at the farmers market square June 7.

Terrace RCMP, the Terrace and Thornhill Fire Departments, BC Paramedics, and Terrace Search and Rescue Volunteers were on hand to interact with the young people.

The bike rodeo is a hands-on, interactive day, designed to teach children fundamental biking skills, road safety, and rules of the road.

As well, the fire departments stamped all bikes with a security number to ensure they get back to their owner if lost or stolen.

All participants received a participant prize bag and a draw ticket for the grand door prize of two brand new bikes. There will also other numerous door prizes up for grabs.

Everyone enjoyed hot dogs and refreshments put on by Sport Chek.
