RIVERBOAT DAYS kicked off with several events including a fundraiser barbecue enjoyed by many under the beautiful sunshine Aug. 2.
The barbecue was put on to raise money for Helping Hands, a non-profit organization, which takes the proceeds from recycling and provides it to help seniors, cancer patients and children get medications or travel assistance they can’t access or afford.
This year's organization to benefit from the proceeds was suggested by last year's recipient, the Terrace Art Gallery.
