Renovations on the new Your Décor space have begun.
Workers are adding on another 1,800 square feet to the old River Industries building on Hwy16 and renovating the interior to open up the area.
There’ll be a new entrance and doorway, an enclosed warehouse in the back, and the exterior of the building will also be touched up along with paving and landscaping.
The owners of Your Décor and the RONA Building Centre bought the building last fall, with the intent of moving Your Décor there later this year. Your Décor will be selling kitchen cabinets along with the products it already does now.
Dave Merritt, one of the co-owners of Rona Building Centre and Your Décor, expects the business to move to its new location in October.
Offices will be for lease in the space upstairs in the renovated building, and the liquor store will remain as it is.
There’s still no word on what will happen with the current Your Décor building, but there are plans to renovate it.
