Two baseball teams from Terrace participated at the Provincial Minor Baseball Tournament held in Merritt, BC with Under 15 Team B clinching a silver.
The tournament, which took place from July 5 to 7, 2024, saw the Terrace team B team battle through intense competition under scorching summer conditions.
On their journey to the finals, the team played for 6 hours in the scorching hot weather.
"I think parents did a great job at keeping them cool by providing cold drinks and towels," said Jessica Starlund, mother of Cailin Watson, one of players of Terrace Team B.
"We are immensely proud of our players for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship."
The cost of travel of the players was paid by the parents.
Even though some of the players were new to the team, Starlund says the team worked together overcoming every hurdle.
