Soccer

A Whitecaps soccer camp is coming up Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 at Christy Park in Terrace. Open to anyone, the camp is simply to sharpen soccer skills. More information is available at camps.whitecapsfcyouth.com/camps by searching BC and clicking on Terrace.

Skating

The Terrace Skating Club has opened registration for their learn to skate and power-skating programs which run Sept. 5 to Oct. 5. Options for all ages and abilities. Register at Clubs Day Aug. 24 at the Sportsplex, or at www.terraceskatingclub.com

Hockey

The Terrace Adult Hockey League has opened registration for the Rec league and Old Timers. Register by Aug. 25 at www.terraceadulthockey.ca.

Running

The first Terrace Ice Cream Run is Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with free ice cream for race participants from the Terrace Chill Shop. Proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver. For more details, search “Run for Ice-Cream” on Facebook or call Kristine at 250-922-5229.

Biking

Group bike rides every Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. starting at Wild Bike. It’s a soft, social ride, with no racing and open to anyone able to ride at a speed of at least 20 km/hr.

Golf

The Skeena Valley Golf & Country Club in Terrace is hosting an All Nations Golf Tournament Aug. 18. Also coming up are the Seniors Open Aug. 26-27, and the Mr & Mrs Aug. 26-27.

Biking

The Wild Descent mountain biking race is Aug 26, starting at the Copper Mountain Parking Lot at 10 a.m.
