The Caledonia girls' soccer team headed down to Archbishop Carney in Coquitlam June 2 to 4 to compete against the province’s best after winning the northwest zone.
The team ended up with a 16th place finish after losing all five of their games.
“On the bright side we gained loads of valuable experience which will serve us well next year,” said coach Duncan Stewart, explaining that 13 of the 15 players will be returning next year.
Stewart added that Caledonia played its best game by far against Burnview from Delta, who were the defending champions and went on to win the title again this year.
