For the first time in years a Terrace rider will be competing at the Horse Council of BC Heritage Games.

Danielle Sexton, a member of the Totem Saddle Club, and her horse Hayden have been participating in horse shows in Terrace and Smithers, earning enough placings this past year to qualify to ride in the Heritage Games, which start today and run through July 7 in Kamloops, B.C.

This is the first time Sexton, who just graduated from high school, has competed at this level.
