North Coast Nightmares split two games at their first-ever tournament here

THE North Coast Nightmares finished in the middle of the pack as they hosted four visiting roller derby teams at the Tournament on Elm Street at the Sportsplex.

THE North Coast Nightmares finished in the middle of the pack as they hosted four visiting roller derby teams at the Tournament on Elm Street at the Sportsplex.

At their first tournament held here, the Nightmares won one bout and lost one bout, beating the Yukon Roller Girls 293-59 and losing to the Fort St. John Kill Billies 187-90, which placed them third.

Fort St. John blasted their other opponents, winning all three of their bouts, shellacking Rated PG 306-23 and thrashing Quesnel’s Gold Pain City 215-81, placing them in the top spot.

Quesnel finished in second place with two wins and one loss, slamming Rated PG 192-83 and narrowing beating the Yukon Roller Girls 124-110.

Yukon Roller Girls ended the weekend with one win and two losses, their victory being the bout against Rated PG where they won 169-129. Rated PG lost all three of their bouts. Next, the Nightmares are in Prince George June 17 vs. Rated PG.
