There is Joe Pelletier a local hockey blogger.

A local man's passion for hockey has evolved into a website loaded with past and present hockey information for those who love keeping up with the game.

Pelletier was born and raised in Terrace and has worked at the local Safeway for 17 years.

His website is a wealth of information for hockey fans with more than 1650 profiles available on former hockey players.

The site began as a hobby project for Pelletier and has now grown to exceed a daily average readership of 12,000 readers.

I am very proud of that,” said Pelletier, who says the site is a way of keeping alive the memories of hockey players.

Readers can also get interactive with the site and contribute their own feedback and opinions on players.

Pelletier has an extensive sports journalism portfolio, having written for Sports Illustrated, Team Canada, The Hockey News and many others, stretching his reach as far as hockey magazines in eastern and northern Europe.

He has also published two books, The World Cup of Hockey and The Legends of Team Canada.

The Terrace Standard now has a link to Pelletier's site, and it can be found by going to www.terracestandard.com
