The Terrace Drag Race Association is getting ready for its Hot August Nites race July 31 and August 1.

The event will take place at the Northwest Regional airport and will include cash prizes as well as a visit from veteran drag racer Kevin Therres and the crew from Prairie Land Motor Sports.

The races start at 10 a.m. both days with an admission cost of $10 at the entry gate. The association invites anyone interested to come out and enjoy the day.

The event will also host two BioDiesel jet cars. The vehicles use fuel made from canola oil and have engines similar to what you would see on a jet plane,

The July 2 and 3 race, the Kitimat Hill Climb, had to be cancelled due to rainy weather conditions.
