Dozens of kids scooted through the crowd as families gathered to watch the Guns and Hoses charity hockey game last Friday.

The event raised more than $13,000 for the Canadian Tire jumpstart program, helping kids to access sports. There was also $103 raised by Save on Foods staff, selling Kraft Dinner noisemakers and operating a donation wheel at the game.

The Hoses (Fire Department) won 6-0 this year, a turn around from last year where RCMP claimed the win.
