Doggie do-do found disturbing

Could you please be more considerate of the rest of us who want to enjoy being there too?

Dear Sir:

As an avid walker who enjoys very much walking at Ferry Island, I have been very frustrated this winter and early spring with the amount of dog poop that I have to look at and attempt not to walk into while there.

It has taken the enjoyment out of walking there for me.

There are signs everywhere to pick up after your dogs, but it doesn’t seem that many people do.

I also do not enjoy having a dog come running up to me, not on a leash, with the owner nowhere in sight.

Ferry Island does not just belong to you dog owners and your dogs.

It is there for everyone.

Could you please be more considerate of the rest of us who want to enjoy being there too?

Barbara Shannon,

Terrace, BC
