And where were the plows, eh?

Dear Sir:

Dear Sir:

I recently sent this to our wonderful road cleaning crew. I went out to Thornhill/Copper Mountain area one snowy morning to pick up some of my staff members that were stuck and unable to make it to work today.

I must say the road conditions for the Copper Mountain area were ridiculous. The road leading into Copper Mountain was one lane only and that was only because people like myself with a 4x4 made tracks for other people.

As I made my way up Walker Street, it was almost an impossible job. I was making tracks through 3-4 feet of snow drifts when I got onto Edlund Avenue. I had to stop and turn around. The drifts were higher than my truck, well over 4-5 feet, and just as long as the street with no hope of even trying to bust my way, through let alone if someone had to walk it.

According to my staff they have not seen a plow down there in two days. Now how are people supposed to go to work? How many people in that area have you cost money by not being able to get out of their streets? Better yet, how are emergency services like ambulance or fire to get down there?

There is no possible way for any emergency service to get down there so in turn you are now risking peoples lives. This is just not right.

Now when I was driving out there and back to town I seen a snow plow cleaning off the frontage roads. Now why would they be cleaning there. Only one section really needs to be cleaned so the fire department can get out. Not only did you risk lives and cost people money, but you cost several business in town money as staff could not make it to work.
