William (Bill) Kenneth Christy

William (Bill) Kenneth Christy passed away on Monday October 16, 2017 at age 82.
Bill had spent his last few months in Terrace view care facility.
Bill is survived by his Wife of 60 years Vesta-Jo (Douglas), Aunt Catherine, brothers Bob and Henry, daughter Mia (Wayne) Merrick of Kamloops B.C., son Ken (Annette) Christy of Merritt B.C., daughter Elizabeth (Garry) Krieger of Beausejour Manitoba.
Bill was predeceased by daughter Frances, a sister and 3 brothers.
Bill was born on July 26, 1935 in Smithers B.C. and had resided in Terrace all of his life. His great love of the outdoors always kept him busy with fishing, hunting, and trapping. He was a committed member of his community and was a member or the Elks lodge and worked to help aid the causes supported by the Elks.
He was a faithful member of the Legion and could be seen there every Saturday. His work throughout his life including falling timber, driving truck and all aspects of work in the forest industry.
Bill's extended family includes 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Elks and Royal Purple fund for children.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
