Thomas Arthur ‘Tom’ Moore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Arthur Moore (Tom).
We take solace, knowing he is finally with his wife Etta, the love of his life, who predeceased him in 2006. He leaves behind 5 sons – Len (Cathy), Dawson (Carol), Don (Jacqueline), Glenn (Sue), Clayton (Linda), 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews.
He was born in 1921 in England and came to Montreal at the age of 2 where he remained until 1978 when he and Etta moved to BC.
He was one of those rare men who could do anything he set his mind to. He could fix anything, build anything, solve anything. He was a loving, caring and wonderful husband and family man. His true passion was golf and he made many friends along the way. He loved his home in Qualicum Beach and was fortunate to have such kind neighbours and friends in the area.
Our Dad, Father-in-law, Papa, Paw, Super-Papa will be missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. We thank all the VIHA Oceanside Health Center and staff and SOS staff that supported Tom in fulfilling his wish to live at home for as long as possible. We would also like to thank the NRGH staff for their initial care and the RJH staff for tending to his needs until his passing.
A memorial service will be held at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville on Saturday February 1, 2020 at 11 am. Reception will be held in the Allsbrook Room after the service followed by interment (family only) at the Qualicum Beach Cemetery.
