Susie Evelyn Cranton

The family of Susie Evelyn Cranton are saddened to announce her passing on February 9, 2022.
She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the age of 87.
Susie was born April 9, 1934 in Mersey Point, N.S. She was the youngest of two girls.
Growing up in Port L'Herbert before meeting her husband Gordon Cranton.
Susie and Gordon married on May 8, 1952. Now residing in Port L' Herbert, they started their family. Four children were born before Gordon's untimely passing at 31 years of age. Before long Susie decided to move across Canada. She packed up her life, her father and 3 of her children, and drove to Terrace, BC in 1970. She lived a long and happy life here in the North West.
Making great friendships through her various jobs and being a long time resident of Terrace.
Susie was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Cranton; her parents Lois and Matthew Lloyd; and her sister Margaret Lloyd.
Susie is survived by her children, Gordon Cranton (Donna), Shirley Challenger (Allan), Kenneth Cranton (Terri) and June Ridke (Rick); her grandchildren, Megan, Tammy, Ashley, Travis, Jessica, and Tye; her great grandchildren, Maddy, Jack, Oliver and Kenton. As well as countless other relatives and close friends.
Susie will be deeply missed by so many. She was such a special lady. The family would like to thank Dr. Strydom and the staff at Mill's Memorial Hospital for all their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Susie, and son-in-law Allan Challenger on May 29, 2022 at the Legion from 2 - 5 PM.
