July 16, 1931 – April 10, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Susan Munson, with her loving family by her side at Terraceview Lodge on April 10th, 2021. She was born just outside of Swift Current Saskatchewan on July 16, 1931 and was just shy of her 90th birthday. She lived most of her life in Terrace.
She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters, Brenda Lutz (Grand Prairie) and Elaine Sproule (Bill) of Vancouver, and her sons, Larry Munson (Phil) of Nanaimo, Brian Munson (Connie) of Prince Rupert, and Darren Munson (Terrace). She is also survived by her sister Betty Anderson (Burns Lake), 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, and too many many friends to count.
She was predeceased by her son Roy (1973), husband Frank (1997), son-in-law Merv Lutz (2012), daughter-in-law Joan Peterson (2018), her parents and four brothers and three sisters.
The family extend their deepest appreciation and thanks to all those who helped care for her over the last few years enabling her to remain in her own home (Dr. Lotz, Home Care Nurses, Home Support Workers, private workers) and supporting her during her final journey at Terraceview Lodge. (Nurses Care Aides, Support Staff ).
The supportive and compassionate care she and our family received was remarkable.
Susan will be greatly missed by many and will be remembered for her infectious smile, laughter, hugs, generous spirit, and the love she gave and shared to her family and friends.
When the time is right for safe travel and gatherings a Celebration of her Life will be organized.
