October 28, 1935 - May 21, 2021
Stu's life began on a family farm near Atwood, Ontario. He set out West at a young age working across the country. His goal was to go to Haida Gwaii but only made it as far as Terrace where he met his wife and he stayed. He helped raise "the kids" and provided for the family.
Stu was a good man and hard-working, much of his life was running a bulldozer or cat skidding logs or building roads, so good he was pulled out of retirement a few times.
He loved the outdoors he hunted and fished with his family, climbing many mountains and casting just as many lines in the Kalum, Skeena and ocean.
He loved his garden and family, the many memories and stories made with him will live on as he is deeply missed but will never be forgotten.
Stuart is survived by:
Sisters Mary and Shirley, His wife Myrtle Laidlaw, Daughter Sandra Donaldson (Jim), Stepson David Bohn (Cynthia), Stepdaughter Barbara Miller (Garry), Stepson Richard Bohn (Sharon), Stepson Roger McCallum
Step-son Gerald Wesley (Angela), and many loving Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Stuart was predeceased by Parents Thelma and Charles Laidlaw as well as several sisters and brothers.
