It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Trudeau after a brief illness.Shirley was born in Palmerston, Ontario then moved to Listowel and then to Burlington, Ontario. Shirley and her husband, Len, moved out to B.C. where they lived and worked in Smithers, Terrace and Delta. Len pre-deceased Shirley while in Delta (in 1988). Shirley then moved to Prince George and worked as a health care giver at the Simon Fraser Seniors Residence. Shirley retired in February of 2004 and moved to Kimberley, B.C. to be closer to family.

Shirley inspired those around her with her ready smile, infectious laugh, her willingness to always help others, her very nature and attitude enabled her to overcome the most devastating occurrences in her life.

Shirley was an avid curler and extremely talented when it came to cooking, baking, needle point, knitting and any other tasks that she took on. Shirley was very proud of her children and loved them dearly. Shirley will be forever loved and missed by family and friends.

Left to mourn are her children, Cheri (Charlie) Cooper of Marysville, B.C.; her son Brad (Darby) Trudeau of Abbottsford, B.C.; Grandchildren Sierra, Aspen and Harrison; her brothers Jack, Frank and Gary Johnston, her sister Marion Moore, also her loving family Ron & Esther Edwards and Patty, Gregg and Geoff, all in Burlington, Ontario area, and many, many very close friends and acquaintances.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the All Saints Anglican Church in Kimberley, B.C.
