September 22, 1967 – May 13, 2015

Shelley was born in Wilkie, Sask. to her parents Neal and Betty

Nordstrom, a sister for Larry and Jim. In 1969 the family moved to Terrace and have remained here.

Shelley was predeceased by her father Neal in 2004. Left

to mourn her passing is her

daughter Melanie (Dawson), granddaughter Skyla, son Kenzie, husband

Jamie Koopmans, mother Betty, brother Larry (Lynne), brother Jim (Monica) nephews Aaron, Ken. Nick and Matthew, nieces Megan and Taylor, cousin Mary Anne Misfeldt (Doug) and family, aunts, uncles and many cousins throughout the prairies, her special friends from school days Lisa, Karen, Janice, Lorraine, Beverly and countless other friends.

Shelley worked at NWCC (Student Services) for 25 years and will be sorely missed by her co-workers and the many students that she cared about and assisted over the years.

A Celebration of Shelley’s life was held on May 22nd at the Long House, NWCC.

The family would like to thank everyone for their calls and cards of condolence, the flowers and food: it was very much appreciated. Also thanks to Dr. Strydom, Dr. Fourie, and the nurses at the hospital for their care and support. Special thanks to Ann Marie Merkel for her friendship and many visits during Shelley’s illness.
