In Loving Memory of Sheila Jackson ~
It is with heavy hearts that we announce our Mom passed away peacefully on May 25, 2021 with family by her side. Mom was born in London, England on August 27, 1930. In July of 1948, she married Harry Jackson and they were married for 68 years. In 1956 their son David arrived followed by their daughter Linda in 1958.
In 1965 the family emigrated to Canada and settled in Prince George.
In the fall of 1966, the family moved to Terrace where mom made many lifelong friends. Mom loved her job at Copp's Shoes which was in the Safeway Mall. She worked there until 1973 when she purchased Central Flowers & Gifts. Mom truly loved all her customers and loved owning her own business. In 1986 Mom and Dad retired and moved to Qualicum Beach. Once they settled mom joined the seniors center and took on the job of tour coordinator.
She organized all the trips and toured the world with all the seniors. It didn't matter if it was a bus, plane, or cruise ship, as long as she was on it.
We lost Dad in 2016, and shortly after Mom's health started to decline, so Mom moved back to Terrace to be closer to family. Mom suffered a stroke in 2018 and moved to Terrace View Lodge. She loved everybody there and loved to partake in all the activities.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Harry and her daughter in law Shirlee.
She is survived by her son David (Giegie), daughter Linda (Cameron), granddaughter Shelby-Rae and great grandson Kellan. Mom leaves behind a huge extended family in Terrace and Qualicum Beach. She loved you all.
We would like to thank all the staff at Terrace View Lodge for your kindness, love, compassion and care you showed our Mom.
You are gone Mom, but will be in our hearts forever. Love you and miss you.
Rest easy - you are my sunshine.
