It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Art on October 27. 2014 in Terrace B.C. at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years. Lois: their daughters Brenda (Larry), and Sandy (Ron); four grandchildren, Lance, Brandy (Jason), Cory, and Jenny: two great grandchildren, Anna and Jack (his little Buddy); his mother, Annie: and his brother, Larry (Wendy). Art was predeceased by his father, Peter (1946) and his brother, Peter (1998).
Born and raised in Edmonton. Art and his family moved to Terrace BC in 1970. He was extremely active in all aspects of sporting endeavours in both communities as a player/coach and organizer.
He will be remembered for his intensity as a hockey/fastball player and coach, and his passion for “the game”, whatever it was. He will also be remembered fondly as a person who could be counted upon to be there for others when in need.
At his request no “formaI” service will be held.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donation in memory of Art can be given to the Happy Gang Centre or Terraceview Lodge (Nass/Evergreen Community).
