Final Words: It’s Tuesday, the third of May, and a cloudy day. I feel so sad to see my dad this way.

My heart, it aches at the thought of us parting, I wish we were back at the place where we started. When I was just small, and you were my hero.

Being carried on your shoulders, made me feel so tall, being snuggled in your arms made me feel so small, so safe, so precious.

As my heart aches, my soul sings, because you get to go home, to be met by those gone, who loved you so dearly. I know when the time comes that I too must cross that line, amongst those to meet me will be this amazing man, who raised me and loved me, taught me many a lesson. Some good some bad but all necessary to make me the woman I am today.

For all this I thank you with all of my heart. I am grateful forever, you fulfilled your part.

Your loving daughter, Oddfrid
