On Friday October 1st, 2021, we lost a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Mike Belanger, born May 12th,1957 in St. Moise, Quebec, passed away peacefully at home.
Predeceased by father Charlie and mother Gemma.
Survived by wife Jackie; children Amy (Richard) Titley, Magen Belanger, Tyson (Megan) Belanger; grandchildren Alex (Sara), Gage (Trinity), Kaden, Jaxx, Gemma, Copper and Charlie; brother Bruno (Krista); sister Line (Rick), nephews Connor (Kassy) & Cameron (Marie) and Kyle; brother Daniel (Rachel), nieces Chelsea (John) and Jennifer, great nieces Jaime and Chloe; brother Reno, niece Erika (Kyle), nephew Leo; and brother Kenny (Cordula).
Mike moved to Terrace in 1963 and set about living a life surrounded by the people he loved deeply. Family and friends were everything to him and he would do anything for those that he loved, from spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, to fixing what needed attending to. Anyone who knew Mike would tell you that he loved all things outdoors - riding his motorcycle, hunting, camping, exploring with his family, discovering unique rocks, quading and of course, bonfires.
Many memories will include him surrounded by the people closest in his life with a fire burning for the better part of the afternoon and evening.
An outdoor Celebration of Life will be planned for spring 2022. In our time of grief, we hope that you find comfort and kindness in each other.
