Oct 18, 1933 - Nov 4, 2017
It is with great sadness that Merril has lost his struggle with life peacefully on November 4th, 2017. We loved him dearly and had great respect for him, he will be sadly missed and loved forever  by his family.

Survived by his wife Mabel of 61 years, his daughter Sandra and Son in law Dave Burton. His two Grandchildren David and Kristen (Matt) and his Great Granddaughter Emma-Lee. Surviving brother Spencer and sisters, Mildred, Eileen, Mary (Richard), and Barbara (Ross). Nephews, Alan (Cathy), Drew (Michele), Conrad and Nieces, Veronica  (John), Leasa (Dorman), Janet (Jim), Diana (Charles) and Susan (Christian).

Merril was pre-deceased by his parents, Poole and Cora Field and his sister, Jean Field.

Born in Kelvington Saskatchewan Oct 18th 1933 at the age of 17 Merril began a lengthy  career in the pipeline industry. After settling a while in Ontario, in 1964 he moved his family to Hudson Hope B.C. where he worked on the Bennet Dam. His final move was to Terrace via Telkwa in 1968. He spent many years traversing Canada in his pipelining career but always considered Terrace home.

He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile and his love of fishing and hunting. There was never a pipeline  job he went to without his boat and fishing pole. Dad had many friends and will be greatly missed by all his buddies.

He always had good stories to tell and loved to hear their  good tales. His Sunday phone calls will be missed by family and friends.

May you rest in peace and be free.

There will be no funeral to honour dad's wishes.
