November 13, 1928 - May 22, 2010

Manuel came to Canada in 1956. He was a carpenter by trade, but did many other things, he built many houses and apartments, and worked in many public buildings including Skeenaview, which later became Terraceview Lodge where he lived in for the last few years.

He loved to go hunting and fishing, singing and playing his mandoline, and later moved up and got an electric mandoline. He would play for hours with his friends and family. He loved gardening and farming also.

Predeceased by wife Maria Silva, sister Maria Margarita, mother and father and great granddaughter Mary Grace Silva Carrita.

Donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Terraceview Lodge.

Lucy and family would like to thank Father Terry, the doctors and staff at Mills Memorial Hospital, but most of all the staff at Terraceview Lodge who were so kind, loving and caring to him. Keeping the cows milked and fed to make his day at Terraceview Lodge. Everyone’s kind words, wishes, flowers and all the hard work of the ladies that baked, cooked and served at the reception.

Manuel will be sadly missed.
