Leonard was born in Cranbrook to parents May and Glenn Geier. He moved from the East Kootenays with his parents and seven siblings to Vancouver Island when he was thirteen. In 1981, Leonard moved north, and has lived and worked in Rosswood and Terrace for the last 44 years. He was a very honest, strong, hardworking man, always ready to give a helping hand to anyone who asked. Leonard was always curious about projects, about town buzz, about people's well-being. He liked to laugh, and he liked to do things for people.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents and by his brothers, Wilfred and David. He is survived by his wife, Iris, as well as by his sisters, Lorna, Linda, and Joan, by his brothers, Bill and John, by many nephews and nieces, and by little ones that he loved dearly.
He was a kind and gentle soul and we will miss him.
