LLEWELLYN

Leo Herbert (Lee) Llewellyn of Terrace B.C., died February 24, 2010 in Mills Memorial hospital after a brief illness. Lee was born in Highwood, Montana on April 21, 1912, and was the third of fourteen children. In 1921, his family moved to Canada and he eventually settled in Terrace on April 7, 1929. Like so many, Lee rode the rails trying to find work in the early 30’s. He had numerous jobs in the area, including a time with Terrace Public Works, before joining Columbia Cellulose in 1951, where he worked for over 25 years.

Lee married Adeline Minnie Thomas in May of 1936. They had four children, Lloyd Daniel, Jack Thomas, Ida Lee and Richard Charles. They moved into their home on Lanfear Dr. in 1939. Lee was with the Pacific Coast Rangers during WW II, and was a member of the IOOF for over 25 years. He was predeceased by his wife Adeline (1995) and two of his children, Jack (1965) and Ida (2004).

Lee will be lovingly remembered by his many friends and family, and will be greatly missed by his brothers, Lawrence and Don (Daisy), his sisters, Jessie and Maxine, his children, Lloyd (Yvonne) and Rick, as well as his grandchildren, Brenda Lee, Ken, Steve, Daniel, Michelle, Jill, Kevin, Terry, Shelley and his many, many great grandchildren.

Lee’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Strydom and the nursing staff at Mills Memorial Hospital.
