Joe Mallia died peacefully in his sleep on June 1, 2021, at Terraceview Lodge where he lived for the last few years.
He was born in Malta in 1933 and emigrated to Canada in 1951. Joe visited many of his Malta relatives in 2008 and has kept in contact.
After some travel in Canada, Joe discovered the beauty of BC and settled in Terrace, where he married Esther (nee Ryll) in 1954. They had three children: George (Diane), Kathy (Rick), and Carmen who collectively gave Joe 7 grandchildren.
Joe is currently survived by Pauline Vaal-Henke, his wife of 31 years.
Many local friends and neighbours remember how Joe loved the roads of northern BC, both in his 18 wheeler and on his motorcycle.
Cremation and no funeral as requested by Joe.
