In loving memory ~
It is with sadness that we share the passing of our father, Joseph Klowak, who left us peacefully in his sleep on October 24, 2024 at the age of 92. Joe was predeceased by his wife Lorna July 5, 2010 and is survived by his two children, Sylvia James (David) and Kenneth Klowak (Pamela), his 4 grandchildren (Corina, Carla, Jesse and Mandy) as well as 9 great grandchildren (Brandon, Leif, Ianna, Shamra, Simon, Kira, Jesse, Rhys and Erika) and his elder brother Nick (Audrey). Dad was born on a farm outside of Inwood Manitoba. He was one of 15 children born to Joseph and Olena Klowak. In his younger years Dad worked on the farm. Joe and Lorna enjoyed 59 years of marriage before she passed. Joe and Lorna first moved to Trail BC, where Joe took up work as a brakeman for the CPR. They then moved to Kitimat where Joe worked for Alcan. In the early sixties, the family finally settled in Terrace BC. Joe worked at Bob's Welding for a number of years before moving on to a career in carpentry. He was known for his generosity and love of animals Joe particularly loved helping his family and friends with many construction projects over the years. He was very active well into his late 80's. A private family gathering will be held before Joe's ashes are laid to rest with his beloved Lorna.
