GLEN JOHN JAMES (JIM)


It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Glen on September 23rd, 2007 at the age of 76 years in Cardston, Alberta after a brief battle with cancer.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his family; Carol, his wife of 44 years, children; Glen and Dora Miller, Jason and Diane Miller, Sheri (Miller) and Allan Quinton, Colleen (Miller) and Pertti Harkonen, Shelly (Glen) Rydalch and his honorary children Glenn and Kim Tobin, along with 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Jim was a resident of Terrace B.C. for 60 years. He worked in the logging industry and with B.C. Parks. Jim and Carol operated Kleanza Creek Provincial Park for 15 years. Jim’s love for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, gardening and hiking. He was skilled in woodcrafts and was an active member of the Skeena Square Dance Club.

His love and dedication to his family brought him and his wife to Cardston, Alberta in 2005. He was a faithful and devout member of the LDS Church. This is where he found great joy serving in the Temple.

The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, Cardston on Friday, September 28th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Ron Johnson Officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment in the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Calgary, Alberta on September 29th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
