Born in Cedarvale, BC in her
grandparents home Josiah and Emma Bright.
Joanne was a matriarch and a deocendant of the Gitlusec People through her great
grandmother Hannah Bright.
Joanne was a journalist, degree in buisness management, and with a coworker established the Friendship Centre in Terrace BC.
She was employed in the Dzelk’ant Friendship
Centre Society, until she was hospilized herself because of pneumonia + plurisy she died in the Smithers Hospital Bulkley Valley District.
Her aunt and uncle would like to thank the
doctor, nurses and staff for the care and support during
Joanne’s illness. She is greatly missed by all.
Internment was in the Meanskinisht Cemetery.
