Joan was born 1935 in Peterborough, Ontario. She married her childhood friend Donald Halvorson in 1957.
Joan loved the outdoors besides fishing and gardening. She also was a concert pianist. She has spent 10 years in banking.
She is survived by her husband Donald Halvorson. Children Mark (Karen), David (Sheila), Christina (Blaine). Grandchildren Jessica, Jon, Tiara, Gage, David, Connor, great grandchildren Oliver and Payton.
She lived most of her life in the Okanagon Valley and later moved up to Kitwanga.
Dedicated wife, mother and loved dearly by everyone.
