January 12, 1956 - April 8, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister and Aunt. Jeanette passed away peacefully at Mills Memorial Hospital on April 8th 2019 with her loving family by her side.
Jeanette was survived by her husband of 43 years Maurice Squires, her daughters Jill, Julie (Caesar) and Sara (Ken) her grandchildren Jaison, Jaxson and Taylor-Jade. As well as many other extended family members and friends.
Jeanette (JC) was born in Terrace BC on January 12, 1956. She was one of 12 siblings and she absolutely loved each of them dearly. Jeanette loved being part of a large family and enjoyed many family gatherings and family vacations. In her younger years JC was a well-known fastball pitcher and enjoyed the sport very much. In 1996 she graduated with distinction with her Bachelor of Social Work. Jeanette was a long time employee with the Ministry of Child and Family Development and had taken on the position of a Social Worker for Children and Youth with special needs.
She was many things in her life but the role she enjoyed more than anything was being a Gramma to her beautiful grandchildren. She would do absolutely anything for them. Although her time here on earth was far to short, her legacy will live on forever. It is hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.
