“Some will be remembered for what they said.

Others will be remembered for what they did.

The special will be remembered for who they were”.

JAY A. BROWN

May 5, 1959 - March 7, 2008

Jay was born in Drayton Valley, Alberta, May 5, 1959 as the seventh child to James and Edith Brown.

Jay will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle & friend. His laughter, energy and loving heart ensure that he will be greatly missed while living on in the hearts and memories of his many family and friends.

Born with an adventurous spirit and being an avid outdoorsman, Jay was rarely without a rifle, fishing rod or bow. He loved to share the tales of these action-packed experiences with his appreciative family and friends, the lucky ones of whom were part of the action in one tale or another.

Jay leaves behind his treasured sons Jason & Mandy, Gregory; precious granddaughter Baelyn; his beloved partner Lisa Wildman; her daughters Alison & Rodney Rice, Holly Wildman & John; grandchildren Sean, Brenna, Quinn & Berett; mother Edith Brown, seven brothers and sisters, Gordon & Sandy Brown, Louise & Garry Mastre, Dale & Deborah Brown, Martha & Dave Hawkings, Lorna & Brian Gyori, Jamie & Brian Dyrland, Bill & Terri Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jay was pre-deceased by his father, James A. Brown in 1992.

Memorial services were held March 14, 2008 at Withrow Gospel Mission in Withrow, Alberta with long time friend, Pastor Brian Allen officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort St. John Palliative Society, Withrow Gospel Mission or Ducks Unlimited.
