James Henry (Jim) Hanna

April 3, 2005

1921-2005

Jim passed away peacefully April 3, 2005 at Terraceview Lodge with family at his side.

Born and raised in Coronation, Alberta, Jim moved to Chilliwack in the late 30’s where he joined the Canadian Army. Stationed in Prince Rupert during the war he met and married Bertie Dobbie of Copper River. Following the war, they moved to the Terrace area where Jim worked in the logging industry until retirement. During that time he worked at Copper, the Nass, Kitimat, Kalum Lake and the Charlottes.

Jim was an avid gardener and orchardist as demonstrated by the bounty he shared with relatives and friends over the years. A sports enthusiast, he was always supportive of the athletic activities of his 3 children and their friends.

Jim was predeceased by Bertie in November 2004 and is survived by sons Roger in Vancouver, Rick in Saskatoon, Marjory (Jessee) in Tracey, California and 7 grandsons.

The family wishes to acknowledge the affection and care provided to both their parents during their residence at Terraceview Lodge. They also wish to thank Dr. Redpath for his care over their recent years.
