Born in Werkendam, Netherlands. Jim immigrated with his parents to Canada as a toddler. He was predeceased by a baby sister of 6 months in the Netherlands. His parents immigrated to Canada in 1948 and lived in Houston for many years. Then they moved to Terrace.
Predeceased by both his parents and his first wife Elaine. Jim is survived by his wife Julia, his twin sons Alan (Monica) and Aaron; grandchildren Mathew, Chad, Jenna & Reagan; his brother Tony (Addie) and their children, Alexander and Chandra.
