Jakob Penner

August 29th 1926 - February 18th 2009.

After a long hard fought struggle with cancer Jacob passed away in San Blas, Mexico at the age of 83.

He was predeceased by his parents, August and Luise, twin sons Jacob and Gerhard, wife Tina (Oct.18th1973) and brothers Waldemar and Bill.

Jake leaves behind his children; Anni-Liese (René), Irma (John), Henry (Diana), Anita (Donald), Katherina (Terry), Mari-Lenna (Brian), Irene (Randy), David, Jackie, Nanci and twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He also leaves in California his brother Henry, and in Germany a brother August and sister Luise.

Jake was born August 29, 1926 in Kronau, Ukraine, Russia. In 1948 he immigrated to Paraguay where he met and married Tina. They lived on a farm raising the first three of their children. In 1955 Jake moved his family to Terrace joining his brothers Henry, Waldemar, Bill and their families.

Throughout his life Jake served in the military, worked as a farmer, miner, logger, and carpenter. He eventually started and ran his own construction firm called JP Builders. Jake continued to work in the Terrace, Prince Rupert area until he retired. Eventually he moved to the warmth of San Blas, Mexico where he lived the remainder of his life.

A funeral and burial service and procession were attended by family and friends in San Blas on February 19, 2009.
