Born September 10, 1940 in Fife, Scotland

Died January 21, 2008 Terrace, B.C.

Ian is survived by his Son Ken (Janet) Duncan – Victoria, B.C.; Daughter Leanne Roberts – Scarborough, Ontario; Step-sons – Micheal Hart- Thailand, Mark (Tracey) Hart – Terrace, B.C.; Step-daughter – Catherine Frenette (David) – Telkwa, B.C.; Son-in-law – Mike Frenette – Terrace, B.C.; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandsons.

Predeceased by his Daughter Karyn and wife Nan.

Ian was well respected in the community for all his volunteer work through the Volunteer Bureau and of course always helping out those that needed a plumber, carpenter or gas fitter etc. Ian always said he was never so busy since he retired.

Ian will be sorely missed and leaves a hole in the lives of family and friends from next door neighbours to family abroad and everyone in between. Ian shaped and influenced the lives of many.

We all love you Ian and may you always

have wind in your sails and calm seas to travel upon!

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 24th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Terrace, B.C.

In memory of Ian, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dr. R.E.M. Lee Foundation.

The Duncan, Hart and Frenette families would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU for the OUTSTANDING care Ian received while in ICU and Palliative care at Mills Memorial Hospital from Dr. Brown and the AMAZING NURSING STAFF. Thank you for all your support and the special care Ian was given.
