RICHEY - Howard Vincent

March 15,1940 - June 18,2008

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband & Father Howard. He passed away surrounded by his family at Mills Memorial Hosp. in Terrace, BC. after a lengthy battle with cancer. Howard was born in Sydney NS. He leaves behind his wife Marilyn of 47 years; his son Doug (Roylene); his daughters, Kathy Mulligan (Dan); and Danielle; and his grandchildren, Amelia & Thomas Mulligan & Mason Richey. Howard will be sadly missed by his sisters: Norma Frost (Raymond); Helen Powell; Beverley MacLeod (Parker); and Audrey Matheson; and his brother Tom (Allie Mae). Howard was predeceased by his father, Howard Vincent Richey Sr.; mother, Jessie (MacSween) Richey; brother. Rockie Richey; and brothers-in-law, Alex Matheson & Stan Powell.

Howard moved his family to Terrace in 1969 & eventually became a heavy duty mechanic. He then bought Westpoint Rentals which he ran for 30 years. Howard was a keen supporter of his children’s sports teams & loved animals. He will be missed by his pals, Mittsee & Sophie. He also enjoyed restoring vintage cars & was especially proud of his 1955 Crown Victoria.

We would like to thank everyone who took such special care of Howard. Words alone cannot express our sincere & deep appreciation for all the compassion you showed us in our time of need. Your kindness & support will not be forgotten.

Oncology: Dr. Fourie, Margaret, Sandra & Corey; Palliative Care Unit: Cheryl, Skylark, Rochelle, Tony, Matt, Carolyn, Kurt, Ray & Michael. Hemotology: Barb and Dr’s Appleton & Strangway.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks & appreciation to all of our family & friends, near & far, who have supported us in our time of grief. The thoughtful cards, meals, flowers, prayer & countless acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
