In Loving Memory ~
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry (Hank) Therrien, 79, on July 11, 2023, in White Rock, BC, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in 1943 to Adrien and Celeste in Steinbach, Manitoba, Henry relocated to Terrace in 1963, where he met and married Gail Mayner, and started a family. He had a long career in the forest industry and was a resident of Terrace for more than 50 years.
Henry was also a longtime softball coach and umpire in the community.
He was predeceased by his wife Gail (2016), but Henry found love again with his high school sweetheart, and they were married in 2019.
A devoted family man, well known for his sense of humour and love of laughter, Henry could always make the best of any situation. He had a knack for finding humour.
Whether it was a family gathering, a social event, or a trip to the grocery store, he had a way of turning ordinary situations into memorable moments. We have shared so many stories with family, laughing until we couldn't breathe. These times will be sadly missed, but they have created the fondest of memories for us to cherish.
Henry is survived by his wife, Georgette, and his children, Rhonda (Marcus), James, and Shelley (Kevin). He was a loving brother to his 7 siblings, a cherished grandfather to Chelsi, Justin, Ayshia, Tyler, Kyle, Austin, Dawson, Travis, and Selena, and a great grandfather to Declan, Christian, Everly, Rhett, and Thomas.
As we bid farewell to Henry, we will remember him not with tears, but with laughter and fondness.
May his memory remind us to find humour in the everyday things and to cherish the love of family and friends.
