Helen was laid to rest next to her husband, Mike, at Prince George Cemetery on November 16, 2018, surrounded by family and close friends. The vigil and funeral services along with the reception were held in Prince George at St. George's Ukrainian church with Father Lurii Tychenok presiding.
The family would sincerely like to thank the community care givers at Northern Health and the nurses and support staff at Terraceview Lodge for the thoughtful and loving care Helen received. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to Terraceview Lodge in lieu of flowers.
Helen is survived by sister Olga Setchell, her children Georgina Ewonchuk (Walter), David Oleksewich (Ingrid), Allan Oleksewich and Danny Oleksewich, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by loving husband Michael, sister Mary Mariash and brothers Matt, Tony and Alec Kawinsky.
She will be in our hearts forever.
