1948-2003
After a courageous battle with cancer, our family was left with a deep void when Guy Allison Kent Young (Al) joined his father, Guy A. Young on December 31, 2003. Al was born in Fredericton New Brunswick on February 25, 1948 and passed away peacefully in his home in Prince George, B.C.
Al loved life, he brightened our lives with his love of family, friends, music and his wonderful sense of humour. His mischievous blue eyes and crooked smile, his musical ditties and jokes are known throughout his travels with Chieftain Auto Parts, Auto Magic and Signode Canada.
Left behind to mourn his loss and celebrate his life are his loving wife Linda and their children, Kent (Nadina), Mandy (Russell), Josh (Sunshine) & Jaime (Edgardo). Al will never be forgotten by his beloved grandchildren: Todd, Darian, Kaitlyn, and Baylee. He is survived by his mother, Muriel brother David (Simonne). sister Deborah, (Gale), brother Doug (Diane). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Over his lifetime Al was affiliated with the Elks, Legion, Red Cross, A.C.T. and Kinsmen Clubs.
A Celebration of Al’s life will be held at St. Andrews United Church 3555 5th Avenue Prince George, B.C, on Monday January 5th 2004 at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince George Hospice Society 3089 Clapperton Street Prince George, B.C. V2L 5N4. Assman’s Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
