ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY

If tears could build a stairway

and memories were a lane.

We’d walk right up to heaven

to bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken.

No time to say goodbye.

You were gone before we knew it.

And only God knows why.

Our hearts still ache in sadness

and secret tears still flow.

What it meant to lose you,

No one will ever know.

We talked, we helped, we hoped, we prayed, we cried and we laughed.....

Gordon, we saw your strengths, but as you grew tired, so did we. So much so, we didn’t recognize that you slipped away. But we will never forget you, we laid you to rest knowing that you won’t have to run no more. You are free, Soar high.

We love you so much and we’ll miss you forever...and ever.
