May 5, 1928 - February 11, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Glen Clarence Jeffrey announces his passing after a brief illness, on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 90 years. Those left to celebrate Glen's life are his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Anne Jeffrey; his sister Verona Clegg of Langley, BC; his beloved children: Douglas Bruce (Luanne), Clinton Andrew (Jamie), Scott Glenn (Elaine) and Allayne Lynn Clark (James); and his treasured grandchildren: Kathryn, Nathalie, Kevin, Thomas, Ryan, Laura, Ethan, Sarah and Sydney.
Glen was born and grew up in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. Glen moved with his family to Aldergrove, BC in 1943. Upon graduation from high school, he began a 36-year career with Canadian Pacific Airlines as a Flight and Line Engineer. Glen met and married his wife, Margaret, in 1958 after which they moved to Kelowna. While raising their four children and keeping an orchard in Oyama, BC, Glen worked for the airline at Kelowna Airport. In 1969, the family relocated to Terrace, BC where Glen continued working for CP Air until his retirement in 1986. Glen and Margaret then returned to the Okanagan and lived in Winfield, where they remained ever since. Glen was an avid aviation enthusiast who enjoyed flying his private airplanes in his spare time. He also enjoyed camping and travelling with his wife and family to see the wonders of Canada, and many parts of the world. Glen loved riding his tractors and motorcycles. Most of all, he loved fixing everything with his hands to return it back to its original condition. Onto the next big adventure!
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
